TAMKO Titan XT Shingle Roof Replacement in Deltona, FL
Installed: TAMKO Titan XT architectural shingles

The problem
Lakefront house with a big hip roof, a stucco chimney and a screened pool out back. The homeowner put the shingles at 11 to 15 years old and said nothing was leaking yet. Up close they were worn, and the chimney needed a cricket on its uphill side to meet code.
What we did
Everything came off down to the deck. Bad wood got cut out and replaced and loose boards were re-nailed. Then self-adhering ice and water shield over the whole deck, new drip edge set in roofing cement, starter strip along the edges and TAMKO Titan XT architectural shingles with ridge caps on the hips and ridges. We built the cricket behind the chimney so water splits around it instead of sitting against it, checked the wall and chimney flashing and replaced what needed it, and put on new vents and pipe boots instead of reusing the old ones. The old 5-inch gutters came down and 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts went up. Permit and inspections were on us.

The result
Finished photos are from September 26. The new shingles run one even color over every hip, and the chimney has new metal flashing at its base.
