Shingle to Standing Seam Metal Roof in DeBary, FL
Installed: 26-gauge Galvalume standing seam panels and ridge

The problem
Long single-story block house with an L-shaped roof, three-tab shingles the homeowner put at 16 to 20 years old, and a metal ridge cap. No active leaks reported. The shingles were dark and streaked, and the homeowner chose standing seam metal.
What we did
We tore the shingles off down to the deck, inspected it and replaced bad wood as needed. Then high-temperature self-adhering ice and water shield over the entire deck, not just the edges, which matters under metal in Florida heat. New drip edge, then 26-gauge Galvalume standing seam panels and matching ridge on the hips and ridges. New vents and roof components, nothing reused or painted. We pulled the permit and handled the inspections.

The result
The finished drone photos are from September 18. Same house, bright metal where the dark shingles were.
